About the Diabetes, Advancing CKD Management Panel

What is it?

This panel provides you with a way to offer comprehensive annual testing to patients with diabetes who have progressed to stage 3 or 4 chronic kidney disease (CKD). With a single test code, you can perform all the tests recommended by the American Diabetes Association (ADA).1 In addition to helping you adhere to ADA guidelines, this panel helps you meet the National Kidney Foundation’s guidelines for monitoring kidney status.2

The panel assesses:

  • Fasting lipid levels
  • Fasting glucose
  • HbA1c
  • Liver functions tests (albumin, total and direct bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase, total protein, ALT, AST)
  • Urinary albumin excretion (UAE)
  • Serum creatinine/eGFR

When should you use it?

Once a year in all patients with stage 3 or 4 CKD.

What makes it different?

This panel is an effective tool for monitoring the progression of CKD because it provides an easy way to adhere to ADA recommendations for managing CKD in patients with diabetes.1
